Small Groups

We live our Christian life along side each other, not in isolation. Small groups provide a setting to develop deeper relationship with each other than can be normally formed by solely attending Sunday morning worship services. Once a new person or family has been attending First Mennonite several  times, a church Elder tries to help recommend  and facilitate an appropriate small group. This placement will be based on how closely the small group activities can meet the interests and time availability of each prospective participant. Usually the small groups consist of 6-12 members and may include children. Once the groups get larger than this number, members are encouraged to divide and form new groups. The activities are different for each group, and they meet in various parts of town, for activities including, Bible study, prayer, sharing, meals recreation. Many small groups also plan and participate in church or independently planned community service projects

Womens Saturday Breakfast Small Group
The Womens Saturday Breakfast Small Group meets monthly over breakfast either hosted in a home or in a local restaurant. The group is open to all women who want to develop and nurture friendships through fellowship, sharing, and especially laughter. Date and location will be posted in Sunday bulletins.
